3 MA Bursaries
The Department of History
The Department of History is pleased to announce that it has 3 Queen Mary bursaries for 2009-10.
These will cover tuition fees at the home rate (currently £3,964) and will be awarded by the summer of 2009.
One Queen Mary bursary will be awarded to an exceptional candidate (UK, EU or Overseas) applying for the
MA History of Political Thought & Intellectual History
Two Queen Mary bursaries will be awarded to an exceptional candidate (UK, EU or Overseas) applying for the
MA Twentieth Century History

To be eligible for an award you need to apply for admission to one of the above programmes. The Graduate School Prospectus and an application form can be obtained by sending your postal address to

Complete applications must reach the Admissions & Recruitment Office, Queen Mary, University of London, Mile End Road, London E1 4NS, before 23rd March 2009.
Applicants must include a 500-750 word précis of their proposed research dissertation topic addressing a number of specific questions. Please see the following webpage for further details,

Applicants should state their interest in being considered for a bursary in the space provided on the application form. There is no separate bursary application form.
Closing Date: Monday 23 March 2009
Applications received after this date will still be considered for admission but will be too late to be considered for the bursary competition.
