To celebrate the official launch of the Sheffield Hallam University South East Asia regional office in Kuala Lumpur in March 2009, one full tuition-fee scholarship is available to an applicant from South East Asia for a 2009/10 postgraduate course.
All full-time postgraduate taught courses are taking part in this scheme.
The successful applicant will be awarded with a certificate to mark their achievement at an annual Prize-winners’ reception.
Eligibility criteria
You are eligible to apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s ASEAN Scholarship if
- you are a national of a South East Asian country (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) and are classed as an international student for fees purposes
- you can meet the course entry requirements as specified in your offer, including a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent
- you have accepted your offer
- you can demonstrate personal, academic or professional achievement in your personal statement, as part of your scholarship application
How to apply
Applications for the Vice-Chancellor ASEAN Scholarship should be submitted with, or following, an application for a full-time postgraduate taught course.
Scholarship applications for courses starting in September and October 2009 must be submitted by 30 June 2009.
Scholarship applications for courses starting in January and February 2010 must be submitted by 30 November 2009.
